In the latest episode of Meet Me at Reception, actor Josh Brolin and acclaimed cinematographer Greig Fraser meet director of Frieze No.9 Cork Street Selvi May Akyildiz.

The three talk about Fraser and Brolin’s latest collaboration, an exhibition of photographs and poetry inspired by their shared experience of filming Dune and Dune: Part Two. They also touch upon the spirituality of the desert, give hot tips for anyone travelling to Santa Monica for Frieze Los Angeles and debate who they’d choose to score the soundtrack of their lives.

This is the fifth in a series of videos from Frieze’s gallery, No.9 Cork Street, where cultural personalities are invited for a chat at reception.   

Greig Fraser/Josh Brolin: ‘Exposures’

‘Exposures’ has been curated by Oscar-winning cinematographer Greig Fraser and Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin from their artistic memoir Dune: Exposures. An ode to the art of filmmaking, it combines evocative photography and vivid prose to provide behind-the-scenes insights into the creation of director Denis Villeneuve’s epic movies Dune and Dune: Part Two.
