On the occasion of the summer themed issue, ‘Altered States’, frieze magazine and Marciano Art Foundation presented a conversation with filmmaker and artist David Lynch and frieze senior editor and novelist Andrew Durbin about Lynch’s practice as a fine artist. Drawing on his new memoir Room to Dream and his works being produced for upcoming exhibitions at Kayne Griffin Corcoran in Los Angeles and Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastrict, Lynch talked about his early days at the Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts right up to the present.
