Frieze Viewing Room: Revealing Galleries and Themes for Frieze New York 2020 edition

Featuring exceptional galleries from around the world and themed sections which celebrate artists of Latin descent and pioneering women artists of Chicago

in Frieze | 14 JAN 20

200 galleries will take part in Frieze Viewing Room (Frieze New York 2020 edition), from leading blue-chip galleries to the most exciting young spaces. In addition to strong representation from major New York galleries, international participants represent 30 countries from around the world. Led by Victoria Siddall (Global Director, Frieze Fairs) and Loring Randolph (Director, Frieze New York), the fair’s ninth edition will feature significant works by today’s most successful emerging artists alongside pioneering figures from the 20th and 21st centuries in a range of solo, dual, and thematic presentations.

David Zwirner, Frieze New York 2019

Frieze New York is recognized for its rigorous and innovative programming, and as a platform for galleries to present dedicated solo or dual artist presentations, as well as curated group shows. I'm thrilled to see in 2020 how many galleries are once again treating the fair as an extension of their exhibition programs. As a result, collectors and patrons, museum professionals, and the public are able to experience a range of high-quality mini exhibitions all in one place. I’m particularly excited by the number of presentations that will feature female artists. -Loring Randolph

Alongside the fair's main and special sections, Frieze New York is anchored by a program of collaborations, exhibitions and talks to be announced in the coming months.
