Curated by Ralph Rugoff (Hayward Gallery), the Talks programme will premier with a panel discussion with Alison Gingeras, Renate Bertlmann, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Marilyn Minter at 12.30pm in the auditorium. Entitled 'Alt-Feminisms', the talk will address the history of feminist practice and its continuing relevance today. Then later at 4.30pm, Jörg Heiser discusses and compares the reality of representations of ‘The Curator' with Daniel Birnbaum in the talk 'Screen Life/ Real Life', which features a special preview of the 2017 Palme d’Or-winning film The Square.

Elsewhere in Frieze London, Georgina Starr will be premiering her new performance piece, Androgynous Egg, inside a sculptural setting. Performances will take place daily at 1pm, 2pm and 5pm. Meanwhile, the art collective, SPIT!, will be staging their series of performance interventions that respond to contemporary pressing issues of sexual and gender oppression. Entitled SPIT! Manifesto, the performances will take place daily at 2.30pm and 5.30pm.

In the Reading Room: Mousse magazine launch their new book The Artist as Curator at 2pm with a conversation between Elena Filipovic and Hans Ulrich Obrist at 2pm; Sophie Hellerman, Anne Pontégnie and collector Muriel Salem discuss the Cranford Collection at 2.30pm; and Kaleidoscope magazine hosts a talk with photographer Torbjørn Rødland at 5.30pm.

Over at Frieze Masters, the Talks programme, curated by Tim Marlow (Royal Academy, London) kicks off with Isaac Julien (artist) in conversation with Nicholas Cullinan (National Portrait Gallery, London) at 12pm in the auditorium, followed by Lynda Benglis (artist) with Eike Schmidt (Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence) at 3pm.

After a refuel at one of the many fair pop-up restaurants – try sustainable bowls at Ahi Poké – make your way to West End Night for Dubuffet at Pace, Robert Longo at Thaddaeus Ropac and Michael Dean at Herald Street’s new second space on Museum Street. A meal at Henrietta, Ollie Dabbous’s acclaimed new Covent Garden restaurant, rounds off the day.

Check back during the week for more day-by-day guides to London's most significant art week.
