What not to miss on the final day of Frieze London and Frieze Masters

  • This year Frieze London brings together over 160 of the world’s leading galleries from New York to Berlin and Shanghai to São Paulo, to showcase works by newly discovered artists alongside some of the most respected names in contemporary art.   • Take a short walk through the Frieze Sculpture Park to visit the 2016 edition of Frieze Masters to see and buy art from 134 of the world’s leading galleries specializing in antiquities, Asian art, ethnographic art, illuminated manuscripts, medieval, modern and postwar art, Old Masters and 19th Century, as well as photography, sculpture and wunderkammer. Getting to the fairs

  • Make sure you've booked your tickets! Tickets to Frieze London are currently sold out but there are still some tickets available for entry to Frieze Masters. See here for more details.
     
  • The fairs are open from 12.00pm – 6.00pm today.
     
  • Frieze London is located in the south end of The Regent’s Park, near to the entrance off Park Square West. The postcode is NW1 4NR (Google Maps).
     
  • Frieze Masters is approximately 15 minutes walk from Frieze London at the north-east corner of The Regent’s Park, near the London Zoo. The postcode is NW1 4HA (Google Maps).
     
  • By tube: Frieze London is around 5 minutes walk from Regent’s Park tube station, with Baker Street and Great Portland Street stations also close by. If you’re going directly to Frieze Masters, Camden Town and Mornington Crescent tube stations are a 10 minute walk away.
     
  • By bus: 2, 13, 18, 27, 30, 74, 82, 88, 113, 139, 189, 205, 274, 453 & C2.

At the fairs

Focus / Spotlight / The Nineties 

  • As well as the main gallery sections, make sure to visit Focus at Frieze London, a section advised by Jacob Proctor and Fabian Schöneich that features 37 galleries under 12 years of age, Spotlight at Frieze Masters, curated for the first time by Toby Kamps (The Menil Collection, Houston), a section dedicated to solo presentations of 20th century pioneers, and The Nineties, a new section for this year's Frieze London that sees galleries revisit exhibitions from the 1990s that have had a lasting impact on contemporary art.

Projects and Live

  • In addition to today's Frieze Projects performances, the Frieze Live artists will also be in action today.
     
  • At L1, interact with ‘Hábito/Habitante’ by Martha Araújo, bringing to light the significance of performance art in Latin America under military dictatorship. 
     
  • At L2, in the Focus section, at 1pm and 5pm Christine Sun Kim, who has been deaf since birth, will explore the materiality of sound through drawing, painting and performance; Augustas Serapinas’s artwork work-out will take place at 2pm and don't miss Mahmoud Khaled’s performance at 4.15pm titled Untitled (Go-go Dancing Platform) Speaks - a spin on Felix Gonzales Torres’s famous Untitled (Go-go Dancing Platform) (1991).
     
  • For Frieze Projects as well as his installation in the main entrance corridor to Frieze London, don’t miss Martin Soto Climent’s performance at the entrance to the fair which will take place at 1pm today (P1).
     
  • Take a break at P5 and watch the contribution Frieze Artist Award 2016 winner Yuri Pattison: a real-time display of audio taking place in the tent.

Talks

  • At Frieze Masters join celebrated British artist Cornelia Parker and Director of the Whitworth Maria Balshaw in conversation at 12pm.
     
  • At 3pm BBC journalist and presenter Alastair Sooke will lead a panel discussion of museum directors and art historians to discuss why many of the giants of Western art arguably produced their most exciting work deep into old age: ‘Better Late than Never: On Late Style’

  • In the Frieze London auditorium today, the finale of the ‘Borderlands’ talks programme culminates in Borderlands / The Summit at 1pm asking what can art do in times of emergency? We invite all Frieze London visitors to this special summit to debate the question. The discussion will include previous participants and artists in the talks programme so far as well as special guests.
     
  • At 4pm legendary musician and producer Lee Scratch Perry will take the stage for the keynote presentation, joined by Adrian Sherwood, a record producer who founded the seminal dub label On-U Sound. This is bound to be extremely popular so make sure to reserve your ticket well in advance. 
     
  • Frieze Talks tickets are complimentary but you need to reserve your ticket in advance from the ticket desk at the entrance to the auditorium located next to stand A2.
     
  • For a more informal talks environment, visit the Reading Rooms in both Frieze Masters and Frieze London for an ongoing programme of discussions and presentations curated by leading publications and institutions.
