Frieze Tate Fund

Awarded to Bani Abidi (Experimenter), Mohammed Z. Rahman (Phillida Reid), Naminapu Maymuru-White (Sullivan+Strumpf), Eva Švankmajerová (The Gallery of Everything). 

In its ninth year, the Frieze Tate Fund, supported by Endeavor, provides £150,000 every year for the acquisition of works at Frieze London and Frieze Masters for Tate’s collection. Since the fair launched in 2003, more than 170 works by over 100 artists have been acquired, contributing to displays and exhibition across Tate’s four galleries and beyond.

CAS Collections Fund

Awarded to Haegue Yang (kukje) and Nour Jaouda (Union Pacific).

The CAS Collections Fund at Frieze has bought two works by women artists at Frieze London 2024 for the Hepworth Wakefield. It is the first time that Korean artist Haegue Yang (shown by Kukje) and Libyan artist Nour Jaouda (shown by Union Pacific) will be represented in the Hepworth’s collection.

Camden Art Centre Emerging Artist Prize

London-based artist Nat Faulkner won the 2024 Camden Art Centre Emerging Artist Prize. The artist, represented by Brunette Coleman in the Focus section, will have a solo exhibition at Camden Art Centre in 2025 as part of the award.

Arts Council Collection Acquisitions Fund

Awarded to Nour Jaouda (Union Pacific), Nicole Wermers (Herald St) and Shaqúelle Whyte (Pippy Houldsworth).

Launched at Frieze London in 2023, the Arts Council Collection Acquisitions Fund is an opportunity for the selected artists’ work to join the Arts Council Collection, one of the most widely circulated national collections of modern and contemporary British art.

Spirit Now London Acquisition Prize

Awarded to Shafei Xia (P420), Asemahle Ntlonti (blank) and Bambou Gili (Night Gallery).

The Spirit Now London Acquisition Prize supports decentralized high-level institutions in the UK to bring more contemporary creation and diversity into their permanent collections. The 2024 Prize facilitated the acquisition of three artworks for The Women’s Art Collection at Cambridge.

Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art and Fluxus Prize

Awarded to Stéphanie Saadé (Marfa').

In its second year, the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art and Fluxus Prize honours a French or France-based artist exhibiting at the fair, with the aim to promote the work of French artists to an international audience. The £15,000 prize is shared by the gallery and the artist.

Focus Stand Prize

Awarded to Hot Wheels.

Hot Wheels (Athens, London) won the 2024 Focus Stand Prize at Frieze London for its solo presentation by New York art/fashion collective CFGNY.

Frieze London Stand Prize

Awarded to Proyectos Ultravioleta.

Proyectos Ultravioleta (Guatemala City) won the 2024 Frieze London Stand Prize for its trans-generational dual presentation, featuring new paintings by Edgar Calel alongside historical miniatures by Rosa Elena Curruchich (1958–2005), with both artists hailing from San Juan Comalapa in Guatemala.
